Meet Bob
Bob Harvie grew up in Bristol Borough, the son of a family with deep roots in public service. He attended Bristol High School, went on to George Washington University, and later earned his Master of Education from Holy Family University.
For 26 years, Bob stood at the front of a classroom at Bucks County Technical High School, teaching social studies. His family valued community service, and that influence led him to his teaching career.
While teaching, Bob created the Beyond the Books program, a veterans outreach initiative that connected his students with local veterans, giving both groups something they needed: perspective, purpose, and community. It's the kind of work that doesn't make headlines, but changes lives.
In 1999, Bob moved to Falls Township with his family. He got involved almost immediately, joining the Planning Commission and winning election to the Falls Township Board of Supervisors in 2003.
Bob went on to serve as the longest-tenured Board of Supervisors Chair in Falls Township history. Under his leadership, the township maintained its AAA bond rating, invested in parks and infrastructure, and kept taxes stable while delivering services residents actually needed.
In 2019, Bob was elected Bucks County Commissioner. He was re-elected in 2023 and now serves as Chair, managing a county of more than 650,000 residents with a budget that demands real fiscal discipline and a genuine commitment to the people it serves.
Why He's Running
Bob is running for Congress because the people of PA-01 deserve a representative who has actually done the work, who knows what it takes to stretch a budget, fight for a community, and get things done without drama. Washington is broken because it's full of people who've never had to answer to a neighbor at the grocery store. Bob has. He will.
